Becoming a Volunteer
SERY is always looking for dynamic individuals able to give a hand and to share their passions and areas of expertise. There are many ways to donate time for SERY:
- Accompaniment for medical visits
- Interpreting
- Partnering up with immigrants and friendship visits
- French-language practice
- Homework help
- Aid in shopping
- Organisation of sociocultural activities.
- Etc.
The procedure is simple: An interview with the person responsible for the organisation’s Volunteer Services is enough to determine your areas of interest as well as your compatibility with the needs and values of the organisation. Please feel free to call (450) 777-7213 for more information.
Please note: In order to be a volunteer with SERY, you must provide a attestation from the municipal police (Sûreté Municipale) or from the provincial police (Sûreté du Québec), clearly indicating that you have no criminal record.
