Aid in School Integration

This programme aims at easing young immigrants into the school and social environments, by facilitating communication between the home and school. The service targets young immigrants and their families, as well as educational workers in school contexts.
The services offered are:
- Inquiries regarding the Québec education system (including its particularities, functioning, organisation, etc.)
- Information concerning various activities offered by the city over the course of the summer.
- Referrals to available support services in situations of behavioural or learning difficulties requiring stricter management (CLSC, psychologists, psycho-educators, social workers, community organisations, etc.), as well as accompaniment to these meetings.
- Enrollment to schools, summer day camps; aid in follow-up and interventions.
- Accompaniment and interpreting services during various family and school-worker meetings.
- The organisation of intercultural and awareness activities in schools.
- Training activities for the teaching and professional staff of the
